Choreographer Lua Shayenne, Artistic Director of Lua Shayenne & Co. They are presenting, in partnership with Amnesty International, Departure 00:00, October 11-14 2012, at the Lower Ossington Theatre, 100A Ossington Ave. (North of Queen St. W.). Program of Contemporary and Traditional African Dance from Mali and Guinea. New works include War Child based on the story of child soldiers, Landed Immigrant based on the experience of new immigrants to Canada and  African Seule, a trilogy that pays homage to the African continent.

Carmen Romero, Toronto Teacher, Dancer and Choreographer, on the 6th Toronto International Flamenco Festival which features Cinema and Flamenco Superstar Rafaela Carrasco in her Canadian debut. There is a film series at the Bloor Hot Docs. Includes free beginner Flamenco classes and workshops.
Choreographer Susie Burpee on the DanceWorks Presentation of the World Premiere of Road Trip showing Oct 18-20 2012 at Enwave Theatre as part of Harbourfront Centre's NextSteps Series. A Journey into the minds of two women at a crossroads. Traces the history of their lifelong friendship.
