Runs Thursday August 22 to Sunday August 25 in the Downtown Yonge Neighbourhood along the Yonge Street corridor from Queen Street to College Street, including Trinity Square Park and Yonge-Dundas Square.  Features 100 of the world's top street performers.
Bageshree Vaze, Indo-Canadian classical dancer and musician, Director of Pratbha Arts, which produces high quality programming of music and dance influenced by India and reflective of the Indo-Canadian experience. Joins forces with Besharam to honour the power and resilience of female youth in Balika, an event taking place August 18 2013, 8pm, at Lulu Lounge, 1585 Dundas Street West. Proceeds go to promote girls' rights and help end gender inequality through Plan Canada's Because I am a Girl initiative. Hosted by Dance Activist Anjum Nayyar, Publisher of  Features dance performances including Bageshree Vaze and her Global Bollywood Dance, Carmen Romero, hip hop artist Diana Reyes, and others.
