Marie Jose Chartier, Artistic Director of Chartier Danse talks about her production of STRIA, a DanceWorks Series Event taking place Oct 14-15 at Harbourfront Centre, 231 Queens Quay West. Inspired by the beautiful and unpredictable terrain of the Badlands, Chartier invites her audience to travel with her through a mosaic of colourful memories that surface as ‘états d’âme’ (soulstates) only to be carried into a virtuosiophysical and theatrical expedition; at once dark, playful, unpredictable and unconventional.  www.chartierdanse.com
 
Calla Lachance, Executive Director of Neighbourhood Dance Works with Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance Studies from York, and their Publicity Coordinator Newfoundland Dancer/Choreographer Robyn Breen, York Grad and School of Toronto Dance Theatre student. Founder of NewFoundDance. They talk about Neighbourhood Dance Works NDW) which exists to promote growth within the Newfoundland and Labrador dance community.
